A Pioneer in the Field of Psychotherapy

Albert Ellis, the founder of groundbreaking work in therapy, died today at age 93. His work, which continues to influence therapists today, was considered controversial in many circles, due to his confrontational style. I must say that I have been a fan of his work ever since my earliest exposure in grad school many (many!!) years ago. I love the way he believes you can challenge your irrational beliefs and adopt new, rational ones that simply, make more sense.
