Interesting review of data regarding controversial use of antidepressants and increased risk of PPHN (persistent pulmonary hypertension in newborns) indicates that the absolute risk is actually extremely small, perhaps not enough to justify discontinuing meds during pregnancy, according to Ruta Nonacs, MD, Mass General Hosp, Center for Women’s Mental Health.
