Women’s mental health: A ‘wish-list’ for DSM-V“: Highlights 4 areas where the DSM (Diagnostic Statistical Manual) falls short with regard to women in their reproductive years: 1) depression during pregnancy, 2) childbirth-related post-traumatic stress disorder, 3) disorders of parent-infant attachment, and 4) perinatal bereavement.

It is suggested that if these common disorders were addressed as separate and significant entities, it would positively impact health care recognition and early intervention.
