Study shows vitamin D deficiency is common in pregnant women.

Because this deficiency is linked with preeclampsia, bone fragility, low birth weight and other complications, it is recommended that pregnant women get their Vit D levels checked, although specific guidelines and dosages during pregnancy are not available at this time.
