Clinician Note: New research by seasoned PPD experts (Michael O’Hara and Cheryl Beck) provides evidence that supports the use of nurses to screen and provide counseling for women with PPD.

The authors claim that due to the high contact opportunities, nurses are in an ideal position to provide these services and the majority of women in the study stated that this would be acceptable.
