Offering New Mom & Infant Support
Parenting is a tough job under any circumstances. If you are feeling anxious or depressed, you might find yourself wondering if you are doing the right thing, especially if you are comparing yourself to other moms, which seems to go with the territory!
We are thrilled to offer this adjunctive coaching service to our support options for new parents. Parenting consultations will focus on enhancing your skills and offer concrete tools to solve problems. Meetings will be customized to meet your individual needs when it comes to skill-building support for you and your family.
Areas for consultation vary, but some examples are:
- Newborn care
- Infant developmental milestones
- Infant sleep
- Feeding patterns/routines
- Soothing high-need babies
- Returning to work
- Decisions about childcare
- Discovering your parenting style
- Self-esteem and parenting choices
- Balancing demands of work and family
- Managing logistics of a multi-child family
Parenting consultations are not therapeutic relationships; they offer an opportunity for you to get some of your questions answered and find solutions to concerns that are problematic for you.
Consultations are available for a one-time consultation or on-going support. This service is not covered by insurance but fees will be adjusted to best meet your needs.
