Director of Clinical and Counseling Services

Ashlee Adams

Ashlee is the Director of Clinical and Counseling Services and a therapist at The PPSC. She oversees the clinical staff at The PPSC as well as programming for The KKTC. Ashlee has been passionate about working with infants and their parents for as long as she can remember.

Ashlee graduated with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh with specializations in direct practice and integrated health. She has worked with new mothers and parents in community, hospital, and private practice settings in Pennsylvania and New York City and continues to be licensed in both Pennsylvania and New York.

In addition to specializing in Perinatal Mental Health, Ashlee has experience treating depression, anxiety, life transitions, and couples therapy. Ashlee believes therapy is an open conversation. It is a collaborative process where the role of the therapist is to help facilitate the session dictated by the client’s needs. Ashlee’s approach is solution-focused, strengths-based, and person-centered. Self-exploration, awareness, and healing through therapy should be celebrated and not stigmatized.

I have a strong interest in the emotional well-being of infants and their parents. The emotional state of the parent greatly impacts the relationship with their baby. I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where you can process the range of emotions that come with parenthood. Parenthood is an exciting, yet daunting time and it is my privilege to navigate this journey with you.
