Yasmine is currently earning her Master of Social Work from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where she also received her Bachelor's of Social Work in 2022. After having her son in 2018, Yasmine discovered her passion for nurturing parents during the perinatal and postpartum period, leading her to become a Doula and gaining training and certifications in lactation. Yasmine has previous experience at organizations working directly with parents during both pregnancy and postpartum around their social-emotional wellness and assisting families in connecting to community resources as well as experience working in Philadelphia public high schools with pregnant and parenting students. Yasmine believes the therapeutic process works best when it is a person-centered collaborative process where client and provider are able to build genuine trust and transparency that help enable the healing process to unfold.
“I am very passionate about the transition to motherhood and the journey of parenting. We must remember that pregnancy does not just bring forth the birth of a baby, but also one that is often overlooked, the birth of a mother. It is my passion to hold space for you, mama, to provide you with a safe space that allows your authentic self to be seen and heard. From both personal and professional experience, I understand the pressure that we as parents, and society, puts on us to be able to handle it all. The reality is, although we are capable of doing hard things, we are not meant to do it alone. It is an honor to be a part of your village and support system during the most vulnerable periods in your life and to be there to help you navigate these phases of life with compassion and understanding.”
